DIY Shipping Pallet Book holder
From: Kristy Kay Design
Why We Love It: You see these projects all over Pinterest, but are they REALLY that easy? The answer is YES!
What You’ll Need: A shipping pallet, some screws and nails, a saw, sandpaper, paint and brushes
How to DIY:
First, using a saw, disassemble the pallet by first removing the top boards, next saw each end about 4” above the curve found in the support piece of the pallet (there will be three cuts here across the pallet).
Next, sand outside boards so smooth to the touch (I use a hand sander – any excuse for a powertool, but sandpaper is just fine too).
Screw one of your loose boards to the bottom section (to create the bottom of where the books will rest)
Now, paint and you’re finished! Have fun with it, add handpainted designs, stencils, a children’s name or like here, a favorite vacation place! Mount on the wall or simply rest on the floor to keep your child’s books neatly stored but pretty enough to be found in any room.
